Hundreds of friends from Kerr and Kendall Counties gathered at the old Bishop Ranch, between Comfort and Center Point, Tuesday for the last sad rites held for Mrs Mary A Bishop, 92, who died Monday at the home of her daughter, Mrs Dan Curran, at Mason.

"Granny Bishop" as she was known and loved by hundreds of friends, was born in Tennessee, but had lived in Texas for many, many years. Prior to the death of her daughter, the late Mrs Jack Moore in 1936, Mrs Bishop made her home in Kerrville for more than 30 years.

The survivors are three daughters, Mrs Bill Surber of Mernard, Mrs Dan Curran of Mason, and Mrs Charles Weston of Center Point, and three sons, Bud Bishop, Center Point; Ham Bishop, and Buford Bishop, Lovington, New Mexico, There are 38 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren and three great- great- great grandchildren. Among the grandchildren are Sheriff Frank Moore and Mrs Jim Motte of this city.

Rev A.T. Nixon and Reverend Garrett of Mason conducted the services and grandsons served as pallbearers.
