ELLIOTT CAGE, JR., born in Houston, September 14, 1906 to Elliott Cage and Roene Masterson Cage, died peacefully at home Friday morning, July 26, 2002. He graduated from The Hill School and from Princeton University, class of 1929. He was a retired partner of Houston, Stevenson & Cummings Insurance Agency. Predeceased by his wife of sixty-two years, Marion Jacob Cage and his sister, Chaille Cage Thompson; he is survived by his daughters, Chaille Cage Kelly and Catherine Cage Bruns. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Michael Masterson Bruns, Elliott Cage Kelly and Marion Kelly Black and great grandchildren, Travis Marion Black and Kelly Brian Black. Mr. Cage enjoyed the attentive and loving care of his longtime housekeeper, Angie Rowe, the Owens family: Maggie and Redell Owens, Jr., Lois Johnson and Vera Fisher. Also Peggy Lee and Martha and Warren Christian. The family is especially grateful to Dr. David J. Braden for his thoughtful attention over many years. Graveside services and interment will be held at 11 o'clock in the morning on Wednesday, July 31, 2002 at Glenwood Cemetery, 2525 Washington Avenue, officiating will be The Rev. Canon John A. Logan, Jr. of Christ Church Cathedral and the Reverend Patrick O. Braden, C.S.B.
