MRS. JOHN A. JONES
Mrs. Della (Shrader) Jones, 85, widow of John A. Jones, a former resident of the Highwater vicinity, died Thursday at 10:15 p.m. in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Emmett Huffman, 418 North Eleventh Street, after a brief illness.
Mrs. Jones was apparently in her usual health and early in the evening suffered a stroke of apoplexy. Death came a few hours later.
The former Della Shrader, she was born Oct. 18, 1858 near Johnstown and lived in Licking County all of her life. Surviving are her daughter, Mrs. Huffman and five sons; Edward E. Jones, Arthur T. Jones and Orval H. Jones, all of Granville. Eliud Jones and Halcy L. Jones of Newark; 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Emma Harding of Los Angeles, Calif., and one brother, Jacob Shrader of Jacksonville, Fla. Three daughters and a son are deceased.
The deceased was a member of the Concord Methodist Church and the Fallsburg grange.
The body will be moved to the home of the son, Edward E. Jones in North Street, Granville, tonight. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. in the home, conducted by Rev. J. S. Ricketts and burial will be made in Fredonia Cemetery. Funeral Director, John D. Evans.
