HAMBERG, Ralph Paul Age 78, of Spring Valley, formerly of Dayton, passed away Friday, September 8, 2006. Mr. Hamberg, a graduate of the University of Dayton, was a member of the U.D. President's Club and was an avid fan of the U.D. basketball team. He also supported the Victoria Theatre Association in Dayton. Mr. Hamberg was preceded in death by a sister, Catherine Hamberg; a brother, Howard Hamberg; and two brothers- in-law, Walter Miller and Dick Meyer. He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Lucinda "Cindy" (Price); a son and daughter-in-law, Barth & Mary Alice Hamberg of Sitka, Alaska; two daughters and sons-in-law, Tracy & Doug Jones of Cincinnati, Cara & Greg Holdener of Belleville, IL.; six grandchildren, Rachel Holdener, Megan Jones, Hannah Hamberg, Anna Holdener, Neil Jones, and Daniel Jones; four sisters, Thelma Miller of Dayton, Lavine (Don) Wendelin of Kettering, Louella Meyer of Sidney, Joan (Maurice) Stammen of New Breman; two brothers, Tom (Pat) Hamberg of Coldwater, Don (Patricia) Hamberg of The Woodlands, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial 10:00am Tuesday at Holy Angels Church. Entombment in Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday 5-7pm at The Westbrock Funeral Home, 1712 Wayne Ave. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Erma Bombeck Writers Workshop (300 College Park Dayton, OH., 45469 attn: Timothy Bete)
