Jonathan Barger and Mary, his wife, of Derry Township, Montour County, sold 11 acres & 120 perches in Derry Township, Montour County to Jacob Barger of Derry Township, Montour County for $925 on April 26, 1856. No wife for Jacob Barger was listed. Spelling was "Barger". Deed recorded February 19, 1866. See Deed Book 4, Page 797, Montour County, PA.

Book 1, July 27, 1872, pages 544-548

Jacob Berger, Derry Township, Montour County, Pennsylvania, declares that all debt be settled out of estate and that all real estate be kept until his youngest child is 21 years old. After the youngest child is 21 years old, the real estate is to be sold except for the house and lot, which he now resides.

Leaves to his beloved wife Elizabeth, (1) the house and lot plus additional land cut off from the old homestead, (2) one horse buggy and harness, (3) two cows, three hogs, ten sheep, (4) grain and meat for the first year and (5) any of the household furniture that she may select for her sole use during her lifetime.

Elizabeth is also to receive out of the estate before it is sold, 1/3 of the proceeds of said estate after the tenant takes his share for farming the land and yearly interest on 1/3 of proceeds from the sale of the estate.

Previousy advanced the following to David Berger ( $173), Will Berger ($113), Sarah Ann married to Samuel Smith ($133) and Mary Catharine married to William Stamm ($133), which is to be taken into account when dividing up the estate.

Each child receives an equal share (1/7) of the estate
