His Remains Arrived in the City This
Afternoon For Burial—Has Rela-
tives Here.
John Canan, son of Mrs. Catherine Canan and a brother of the Misses Canan, Mrs. J. P. Early and T. E. Canan, died in Chicago yesterday morning and the remains arrived in the city this afternoon for burial.
Deceased had a paralytic stroke and the members of the family in the city were informed of the fact about 10 o'clock yesterday morning. An hour later they received a telegram announcing his death.
The remains were accompanied to this city by a brother, Joseph Canan. The funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock from St. Francis Catholic church. (Brainerd Daily Dispatch, 03 May 1902, p. 3, c. 2)
