Florence Bolsinger was the third child an second daughter born to Frank and Alta "Cole" Bolsigner. On April 4, 1910, Florence was born in her parnet's log cabin east of Colesburg. Florence received her education in the Colesburg Consodlidated School. At Manchester, Iowa on June 12, 1926, Florence was united in marrage to Arthur Davis, son of Perry and Martha Davis. They started housekeeping on a farm near Sand Springs Iowa, working for Bob McNeal as a farmhand. During this time they were blessed with two children. Art and Vernon. In 1929 they moved to Thorp, Iowa, and rented a farm on the shares from Lincoln Smith for a year. Leaving in 1930, they went back to the McNeal farm where their fist daughter, Delores, blessed them. Living ther a short while when the were called upon to live with Art's father, Pete Davis, east of Colesburg, Iowa. After Pete's death they left the Colesburg area and purcheased a house in Hopkinton, Iowa where Art worked as a laborer. Three more children joined them, Gerald, Alvin, andJula. Leaving Hopkinton around 194-, they moved to the Montpelier area south of Davenport where Art was employed at Dewey's Portland Cement Co. Three more children blessed them, Sharon, Larry, Collen. Completeing their family of nine. Florence and Art lived in this area for 28 years until Florence passed away on December 16, 1968, at the age of 58, from a heart attack. After Florence's death Art moved to Manchester, Iowa living there for a number of years until his death. Art passed away at the age of 75 on July 3, 1977. Florence and Art are both buried in Hopkinson City Cemetery, Hopkinton. Iowa.
