LORETTO WOMAN DIES OF CANCER - MRS. REGINA ISABELLE SMITH CAMBRON, 69, of Loretto, widow of James Arthur Cambron, died at 8:40 a.m. Saturday at Mary Immaculate Hospital after an illness of cancer. She had been at the hospital 18 days. Mrs. Cambron, daughter of J. T. and Gillie Ann Ball Smith, was a lifelong Marion County resident. Her husband died about 35 years ago. She was employed at the Handmacher-Vogel Company plant here for several years. Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Bernard Hagan, Louisville, Mrs. James Bland, Columbia, Mrs. Ames O'Daniel, Bardstown, and Mrs. Ed Thompson, Loretto; a son, Thomas Leon Cambron, also of Loretto; a sister, Mrs. Prock Knott, St. Francis, and 28 grandchildren. The body was at Mattingly Funeral Home, Loretto, until 9 a.m. Monday when funeral services were conducted at St. Francis of Assisi Church at St. Francis, by the Rev. John Talbott Spalding. Burial was in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were Henry and Bill Lyon, Leo Cecil, J. E. Thompson, Bernard Bland and Olie Ball.
