LAWRENCE VOHLAND, (47675892) was married to Mary Sterley (Stierle) (#47675904) on April 21, 1874 in Peppertown, Indiana.
Four years later they immigrated to a farm near to Gibbon, in Buffalo County, Nebraska where they settled on a homestead southeast of that village.

Fifteen children were born to Lawrence and Mary

Gibbon, Neb., Nov. 22. (Special)--
Lawrence Vohland, aged seventy-nine, died suddenly at his home southeast of Gibbon Wednesday. Mr. Vohland is a Gibbon pioneer, coming here in 1878.

His wife and twelve children survive him, three children having preceded him in death. With the exception of five children, Mrs. Thomas Christensen, of Utah, and John, Gust, and Carl, of Scottsbluff, all reside in Gibbon, they being Mrs. R. P. Zimmerman, Mrs. K. E. Kirk, Mrs. Frank Winchester, Mrs. W. H. Winchester, Mrs. F. B. Smith and Jacob, Walter and Michael Vohland.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at the M. E. church, the services being delayed pending the arrival of eastern and western relatives.
