Margaret M. Parmentier of Beaufort died January 23, 2004 at her residence in Beaufort. She was 65.
Mrs. Parmentier was born June 23, 1938 at Casco to Edward Luechtefeld and Elizabeth Luechtefeld, nee Sunderdick.
She was the wife of Raymond J. Parmentier of Beaufort. The couple was married 11 January 1958 at Holy Family Church, Port Hudson.
Mrs. Parmentier was assistant postmaster at the Beaufort Post Office for more than 20 years.
She is survived by two daughters, Rene and husband Dean Kliethermes, Washington and Julie and husband Gary Jones, Safety Harbor, FL; by three sons, Brian and wife Karen Parmentier of Beaufort, Kevin and wife Cindy Parmentier of Beaufort and Jason and wife Jennifer Parmentier of Union; by two brothers, Ben and wife Arlene Luechtefeld of Linn and James and wife Genevieve Luechtefeld of Leslie; by a sister, Irene and husband Robert Bade of Beaufort; by two sisters-in-law, Carol Luechtefeld of Leslie and Marcella Luechtefeld of Glencoe.
Mrs. Parmentier is also survived by 18 grandchildren.
She wa preceded in death by her parents and by four brothers, Harold, Frank, Edward and Robert Luechtefeld.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at Holy Family Catholic Church, Port Hudson by Father Robert Leibrecht. Burial was in Holy Family Cemetery.
