ROCKY MOUNT - Walter Edmond Wells, 77 died Monday. Graveside 2 p.m. Wednesday, Section 36 Pineview Cemetery.
Surviving: wife, Mrs. Mary G. Wells; sons Robert E. Wells of San Antonio, Texas; Richard T. Wells of Rocky Mount; daughters: Mrs. Helen W. Sharpe and Mrs. Margaret W. Cobb, both of Rocky Mount, Mrs. Elizabeth W. Whipple of San Antonio,Texas; sisters: Mrs. Pearl Sullivan and Mrs. Hazel Harrell, both of Rocky Mount; brother, George Wells of Portsmouth, Va; 11 granchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, contricutions may be made to Ronald McDonald House of Eastern North Carolina, 549 Moye Blvd., Greenville 27843.

Walter Edmond Wells, 77, of Rocky Mount, a seasonal resident of Atlantic Beach, building contractor and 1986-1987 manager of Triple S Marina in Atlantic Beach, died early Monday at Pitt Memorial Hospital in Greenville
He is survived by his wife, Mary G. Wells; Two sons Robert E. Wells of San Antonio, Texas and Richard T. Wells of Rocky Mount; three daughters: Helen W. Sharpe and Margaret W. Cobb, both of Rocky Mount, Elizabeth W. Whipple of San Antonio,Texas; two sisters: Pearl Sullivan and Hazel Harrell, both of Rocky Mount; a brother, George Wells of Portsmouth, Va; 11 granchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
His funerl was graveside today at 2 p.m. in Pineview Cemetery, Rocky Mount, with the Rev. Horace Ward officiating.
The family will receive friends at 1149 South Cambridge Circle, Rocky Mount.
Arrangements were by Gay-Yost Funeral Home, Rocky Mount.
