Rosa Estella Cunninghom (sic) daughter of James and Susan Cunningham, was born near Greenbush, Warren county (sic), Illinois, November 23, 1860, and departed this life November 23, 1926, at Nicholas Sen hospital, Omaha, Nebraska, on her 66th birthday. She was the eldest of five children: Elmer H., Altona R., Pearl Cunningham, all of Roseville, and Belzona who died in infancy. She was married to Bion L. Thayer Februaary (sic) 29, 1880, at Roseville, Illinois. To this union were born five children: Lovell O., Melvin L., Mrs. Grace Magee, all of Ruskin, and James Earl of Sidey (sic). One son died in infancy. They resided on a farm near Roseaille (sic) for five years, moving to Nuckolls county (sic), Nebraska, near Ruskin, in the fall of 1885, where they resided continuously until nine years ago, when they retired from the farm moving to Omaha.
She leaves a husband and four children, fifteen grandchildren, two brothers, one sister and a host of relatives and friends to mourn her untimely death.
Mrs. Thayer was always a firm believer in her Savior, always lived a conscientious life, tried to raise her children in the faith. She was always a good neighbor and won the respect of all who knew her.
Funeral services were held on last Thursday afternoon from the Community church and interment was made in the Ruskin cemetery. At this time the many friends of the deceased paid tribute to her memory.
