Mrs. Rundell was ninety-six years of age and a longtime resident of Austin, Texas. She was born in San Antonio, Texas on April 2, 1910. She was formerly very active as President of Woman's Auxiliary and played for the choir of the First Baptist Church, Austin. She loved the church and loved her Lord. John was her favorite gospel - the gospel of love. She was an accomplished pianist and went back to school after her children graduated to complete her Bachelor's and Master's degrees from the University of Texas in Austin. She is the last surviving member of her generation of the Rundell Family.
Eunice, born Eunice Lee Hickerson, was predeceased by her husband, C.A. "Rocky" Rundell, one son, John Lee Rundell and her grandson, Steve Rundell. She is survived by two sons, C.A. Rundell, Jr. of Dallas and Richard C. Rundell of Alcoa, Tennessee. Daughters-in-law include Sylvia Rundell, Betty Rundell, Donna Rundell and Laura Ann Perkins. There are four grandchildren; Pamela Rundell, Matt Rundell, Shanna Cawthon and Mayfair Rundell and four great grandchildren; Reiny Rundell, Daniel Bartz, Lorisa Melvin and Krystin Rundell and four great-great grandchildren; Allison and Madison Melvin and Connor and Cameron Bartz.
The family would like to thank the employees and others at the Park Bend Health Center, whose loving care made her last years so enjoyable.
She was God's wonderful gift to us all. She will be deeply missed, but in our hearts forever.
Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 12, 2007 at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home, Pflugerville with interment following at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery.
