Isaiah Clyde Beatty was born in Macoupin County, IL, on Oct. 8, 1872, the son of Alvin Perry Beatty and Zerrildia Narciss "Atteberry" Beatty.

In about 1873 the family moved to Johnson Co., Nebraska, then in 1888 and 1889, they were living in Covington, Smith County, Kansas. In late 1889 or early 1890 the family moved back to Crab Orchard, Nebraska. While there Isaiah met Ada Viola "Addie" Southard, and on Nov. 8, 1893, they were married. Around 1898 they joined Isaiah's father and two of his brothers and their families, and moved to Nardin, Indian Territory, (now Kay County, OK), where they opened a carpentry shop.

Isaiah and Addie had 8 children: Charles Leslie, Bertha Helen, Zelma, Pearl Phyllis, Florence Zerrildia, Willis Alvin, Luella Elzora, and Everett Cleo.

Isaiah Clyde Beatty died in Kay County, OK, with his daughter Luella, when their car was hit by a train.
