Iona Liddell Stansbury
CARROLLTON - Services of Iona Liddell Stansbury, 83, of Carrollton, who died of heart failure Thursday, May 29, 2003, at Greenwood Leflore Hospital, will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Great Southern Funeral Home.
Mrs. Stansbury was a homemaker. A native of Carroll County, she attended Liddell School. She was a member of Moss Spring Missionary Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Noble Stansbury.
Mrs. Stansbury is survived by five sons, Henry Ellis Stansbury of Memphis, Joseph Stansbury and David Henry Stansbury, both of Carrollton, Sammie Lee Stansbury and Felix Stansbury, both of Chicago; three daughters, Thelma Lee Stansbury of Carrollton, Josephine Stansbury Smith of Columbus, and Annie Mae Campbell of Winona; four sisters, Berlester White of Greenwood, Flora Bowmon of Akron, Ohio, Martha Dukes and Bernice Woods, both of North Carrollton; two brothers, Roscoe Liddell and Jessie Liddell, both of Carrollton; 15 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
The Rev. Al Bush will officiate at the services. Burial will be in Moss Spring Church Cemetery in Carrollton.
Mrs. Stansbury's sons and grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. A wake will be held from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday also at the funeral home.
