A native of Tipton county, Mrs. Legg was born Feb. 6, 1898, the daughter of Lee and Minnie (Fouch) Leavell. She attended school in Tipton and then went to Blaker's Teachers college in Indianapolis.
After her marriage to John Legg, June 28, 1921, she resided in Michigan for eight years before returning to Tipton She was the mother of two children, and a member of the Kemp Methodist church.
Survivors include the husband, the mother, one son, Jack Legg, of Tipton, Mrs. Betty Beach, of Akron, Ohio; two sisters, Mrs. Jess McAtee, of east Chicago, and Mrs. W.C. Cunningham, of Anderson; and four grandchildren.
