HEART AILMENT PROVES FATAL TO MRS MARY KING
Mrs. Mary F. King, 82, widow of Leonard C. King, died at 5:12 p.m. Monday at her home, 1207 Mulberry avenue of a heart ailment, following an extended illness.
Born Aug. 5, 1856, in Illinois City, she had lived in Muscatine county nearly all of her life. She was the daughter of Michael and Katherine Schaab.
She was married to Mr. King on Sept. 3, 1876, in St. Mathias church in Muscatine. She was a member of St. Mary's church and of the Rosary society of that church.
Surviving are four sons, Joe King of Muscaitne, William L. and Lawrence King, both of Bayfield, and Walter J. King, at home; a daughter, Mrs. Leo Adams of West Liberty; three sisters, Mrs. Lucy Fuller of Muscatine, Mrs. Barbara Will of Lakewood, O., and Mrs. Katherine Bartemier of Maryland; 14 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Besides the husband, a brother, Joseph Schaab, a daughter and two sons preceded her in death, one son dying in infancy.
The body was removed from the Meyers Funeral home to the family home on Mulberry avenue at 3 p.m. today. The rosary will be recited at the home at 7:30 Wednesday night. Final rites will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary's church with the Rev. N.J. Peiffer, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's cemetery.

MRS. KING SERVICES CONDUCTED AT CHURCH
Funeral services for Mrs. Mary King, 82, widow of Leonard C. King, who died Monday at her home, 1207 Mulberry avenue, were held this morning with short services at the home at 8:30 and requiem high mass at St. Mary's church at 9 o'clock, directed by the Rev. N.J. Peiffer. The St. Mary's school choir sang.
Flower attendants were Mrs. W. Demorest, Mrs. Robert Metcalf and Mrs. Viola Jensen.
Pallbearers were Fred Kranz, Fred Schwab, Harry Nau, Ted Goetzman, Fred Aull and Harold Koenigsaecker. Burial was in St. Mary's cemetery under the direction of the Meyers Funeral Home.
