Mrs. Yvonne Sellers DePratter, 70 of Hortense, passed away early Sunday, January 24, 2010, at her residence following an extended illness.

Born in Patterson, GA on September 30, 1939, Mrs. DePratter had lived in Brantley County all of her life. She was the first woman hired at Kings Bay Naval Base as an EMT and was a member of the Satilla Baptist Church. Mrs. DePratter enjoyed spending time with her family and fishing. She truly will be missed. She was a daughter of the late Lawton & Gertrude "Doll" Herrin Sellers and was also preceded in death by her husband, Harry L. DePratter and a son-n-law, Ralph "Mac" McCarthy.

Survivors include two daughters, Debra McCarthy and Donna Sue Johns both of Hortense; three sons and daughters-in-law, Darrell & Regan Dixon of Hortense and Franklin & Hazel DePratter and Lamar & Ann DePratter all of Nahunta; 11 grandchildren, Sheena Knight (Anthony) Manibusan, Trent (Jennifer) Knight, Paul (Holly) Adams, D. J. (Brooke) Dixon, Whitney (Ryan) Bennton, Lawton Dixon, Stephen & Alan Johnson, Marlon DePratter, Brian DePratter and Rhonda Lane Moody; 16 great grandchildren, Briley & Bricee Manibusan, Bryston & Ella Knight, Evan Adams, Karkson & Makaylynn Dixon, Caden & Rylan Bennton, Ragen & Casilynn DePratter and a little boy on the way, Jay & Joey DePratter and Kelly & Katie DePratter; a sister, Kay Sellers; two brothers, Kenny (Wanda) Sellers and Buddy (Lavonne) Sellers and several nieces, nephews & other relatives.

Memorials may be made to Heartland Hospice, 122 Scranton Connector, Brunswick, GA 31525.

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening (January 26, 2010) from 6 until 8 o'clock at the funeral home.
Pearson-Dial Funeral Home in Blackshear

Funeral services for Mrs. DePratter will be held at 2:00 o'clock Wednesday afternoon (January 27, 2010) at the Satilla Baptist Church in Hortense.
Mrs. DePratter will lay in state at the church one hour prior to the service.

Interment will be in the Rob Lewis Cemetery.
