Mrs. Landis died at 8 a.m. Friday Oct. 1 at People's Hospital. She was born Margaret Emily Bolsinger at Colesburg July 9, 1883, the daughter of James K.P. Bolsinger and Ida Mae Chapman Bolsinger.
Survivors include two daughters Virginia and Gail Landis, Independence; two brothers, J.C. Bolsinger, Colesburg and Edward Bolsinger, Manchester; one sister Mrs. Robert Bush, Elkader.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1949, one brother and one sister."

Mrs. Margaret Landis, 82, of Independence and formerly of Colesburg, passed away Friday at Peoples hospital in Independence. Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the White Funeral home in Independence and graveside services were held at the Oak Hill cemetery at Colesburg at 2:45 p.m. where burial was made. Mrs. Landis is survived by two daughters, Gail and Virginia, both at home: one sister, Mrs. Bob (Goldie) Bush of Elkader and two brothers, J.C. Bolsinger of Colesburg and Edward Bolsinger of Manchester. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Landis.
Note: She was married to George F. Landis July 7, 1906 at the age of 22.
