Charles Dee Bailey, retired farmer, died of a heart attack at his home Wednesday. He was found fallen in his yard and an ambulance was called to carry him to the hospital, he was dead when it responded.
Bailey was 81 years old and had lived in Young County since 1910. He retired from active farming about two years ago.
Funeral will be held at the Church of Christ in Olney and burial will be in the Jean cemetery under the direction of McCracken Service.
Bailey was a native of Tennessee, born in Woodbury, Warren County, on 9 June 1866. He had lived in Texas since he was a young man. He married Miss Allie May Herd in Mertens on 2 January 1890.
Surviving: his widow; 3 sons - Dibrell Bailey of Megargel, Ernest Bailey of Graham, Alto Bailey of Newcastle; 2 daughters - Miss Macon Bailey and Miss Lucille Bailey, both of Olney; 1 sister - Mrs. Ida herd of Irene; 12 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren.
