It is possible that George may have been born in Berkshire Co. MA. He was the father of 7 children. He moved from Barton Co. MO to Fannin Co. TX at a young age and married Nannie McCraw in 1880. Her parents died in 1883 and Nannie & George inherited the McCraw home and lands in Fannin Co. George farmed, ran a country store and had battery powered electricity when most of the county had none. The batteries were recharged by wind power. He thought at least 100 years ahead of his time.
My g.g.grandfather George Freemont Tyler was descended from Gov. William Bradford of Plymouth Colony thru his paternal grandmother, Edith Bradford. Edith was the daughter of Rev. War soldier Thomas Bradford Jr. of Canterbury, CT. Thomas is DAR Patriot Ancestor #A013422. Thomas served in the army in 1776 and was at the seige of Boston in the early months of 1776. All of this is detailed in his widow's pension file.
