Birth: 1822
Georgia, USA
Death: unknown
McLennan County
Texas, USA

I believe that Elizabeth Box is the oldest daughter of William Bolton Box and Sarah Whitehead. This particular Box family made the move from Georgia to Itawamba County, Mississippi and then on to Texas - the same migration pattern as Elizabeth and her husband, Tilman Curbow. Elizabeth married Tilman (while still in Georgia), and they had seven children: Lucinda, Oliver Perry, Virginia Elizabeth, William F., Harriet, Martha Isabell and Henry Harrison. Elizabeth moved with her husband from Georgia to Mississippi to Arkansas - endured the Civil War and Reconstruction period - and finally settled with him east of Waco, Texas on the Brazos River. Elizabeth is with him in 1870 - and by 1880 her husband Tilman is listed as a widower. It is assumed that Elizabeth has passed away by 1880. If anyone has information on Elizabeth Box Curbow or her family, please contact me.
