James Douglas Upchurch, 18, son of Mrs. Audie Upchurch of Vivian, was killed in an oilfield accident at Mansfield, Friday, February 17.
Funeral services were held Monday at 10 a.m. at a Mansfield funeral home with the Rev. Alford Mitchell officiating. Burial was at Courtland Cemetery near Atlanta, Texas under the direction of Hanner Funeral Home.
Other survivors include the widow, Helen, of Mansfield; four brothers, Bill of Atlanta, Joe of Atlanta, Albert of Vivian, Gaylord of Mansfield; five sisters, Ada May Stanford of Fort Knox, Ky, Irma Dean Cornwell of Grand Prairie, TX, Immer Jean Johnson of Ravanna, Arkansas, Josephine Parker of Shreveport, and Johnnie Faye Hale of Vivian.
