Sattgast, Goldie Hopkins
Funeral services for Mrs. Goldie Hopkins Sattgast, 78, of Damon were held at 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Garmany & Co. Chapel in Rosenberg with Rev. Charlie W. Lamb officiating.
Mrs. Sattgast died suddenly in her home in Damon Monday morning.
She had been a teacher in Tulsa, Okla., for 29 years and taught in Needville and Van Vleck before her retirement. She was a member of one of the old pioneer Damon families.
Mrs. Sattgast is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Will Schendel and Mrs. J.E. Hooper of Damon and Mrs. Eula Martin of Pasadena; a sister-in-law, Mrs. H.W. Hopkins of Pasadena; nine nieces and nephews and 15 great nieces and nephews.
Burial was in the W.O.W. Cemetery.
