One Killed In Accident
Larry Wayne Kirtley of Sulphur Springs was killed in a car-truck wreck on i-30 about 6 miles east of Greenville. The accident took place at 4:35 p.m. Wednesday.
According to Department of Public Safety officer Victor Odiorne, the auto drivn by Kirtley ran into the back of a large Link-Belt Motor Creane driven by Tommy T. Thomas of Ennis. The truck was owned by the Texas Bithulithic Company of Dallas.
Several attempts by the wrecker wer necessary to frede the car from the truck.
Kirtley, who was the only person in the car, was taken by Greenville ambulance to Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas where he died at 7:40 p.m. Thomas was not injured.
