"Died at the home of his brother-in-law, Wm. Kirkpatrick, on Friday, July 10th, Omer (sic) Comstock. He had been sick for a short time with a complication of ailments. Deceased was a bachelor and an old settler, having lived here as boy and man since the earliest settlement of the county." THIS RECORD SEEMS TO INDICATE EDWARD USED HIS MIDDLE NAME.
