BLACKSHEAR -- Mrs. Laura Artha Crawford Strickland, 76, died May 30 at home. She was a lifelong resident of Pierce County and had operated Strickland's Riverside Grocery for six years. She was a homemaker, a member of the Church of Christ of Blackshear and the widow of Lewis Strickland.
SURVIVORS: six daughters, Violet, Maxine, Brenda, Roxane, Evelyn and Melinda.; two sons, Allen Strickland and Earl Strickland; four sisters, Valree Walker of Offerman, Tonnie Carr of Palatka, Fla., Hazel Cabler of Jacksonville, Fla., and Geneva Murphy of Waycross; a brother, Gene Crawford of Jesup; a cousin, 19 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
