Kristine Virginia Schoonmaker, Kristine Virginia Schoonmaker, age 62, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2004 at her residence following a brief illness. She was born in Boyne City on June 15, 1941 to the late Leonard and Virginia (Hart) Nelson. She married Harley Schoonmaker on Nov. 15, 1960; he preceded her in death on Oct. 9, 2001. She was a member of the F.O.E. 3292.
She is survived by four sons, David (Noreen) Nelson of Lansing, Scott (Melanie) Schoonmaker of Lansing, Brian Schoonmaker of Standish, and John (Patricia) Schoonmaker of Gladwin; 14 grandchildren and four Great-grandchildren; two brothers, Gary and Leonard Nelson of Florida; one sister, Kathy Moore of Boyne City; and brother and sister-in-laws Viola and Julian Schoonmaker of Gladwin, and Pat and Don Wogemont of Lansing.
Funeral services were held on Sunday, Feb. 29, 2004 at the Sisson Funeral Home with Rev. Tony Reynolds presiding. Burial took place in Highland Cemetery. The Sisson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
