She was also preceded in death by her parents, Charles & Mildred Jenkins. Mrs. Burgess was the oldest original resident of Great Falls. She was a lifelong member of the Great Falls United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women, and had her name added to the "Saints Quilt" at the Church.
Survivors include children, June Bacon of Delaware, Joyce Rosenbarger of South Carolina, & Harold Burgess of Virginia; her sister, Florence Curtis of North Carolina; eight grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
Interment followed funeral services conducted at the Great Falls United Methodist Church, Great Falls, Friday, October 17, 2008.
