"S.E. Allison, Long time Resident dead
Silas Edward Allison 78 resident of Franklin County for 75 years died this morning in Ransom Memorial Hospital. He had lived with a sister, Mrs L E. Forsythe and recently at the County farm. He was moved from the farm to the hospital a week ago. He had been in failing health for two years and death resulted from a stroke.
He was born Sept 19, 1867 in Nevada, MO son of Silas and Sarah (Tucker) Allison, and came to this county from Nevada.
He was married to Odessa Drum at Princeton. She is dead.
Surviving relatives are a son Royden E Allison, Phoenix, AZ two sisters and a brother, Mrs James Hamblen, Santa Barbara, CA Mrs Forsythe and Harry W Allison, Grand Valley Colo. and two grandchildren
Mr Allison attended O.U. and K.U. He was admitted to bar at the age of 21 and practiced a short time.
The funeral will be Saturday at 2 at the McVey Funeral home Mr Allison was a member of the Christian Church.
