Mrs. Nancy Mongold Dead
Widow of Israel Mongold Dies at Home of Son Near Fulks Run
Mrs. Nancy Mongold, widow of Israel Mongold, died at the home of her son, James Mongold, last Monday, after an illness of six months. Her age was eighty-three years, five months and four days. For several years she had been a member of the Church of the Brethren.
Surviving Mrs. Mongold are seven children, John Mongold, of Dovesville; Nathaniel Mongold, of Mathias, W.Va.; James Mongold, of Fulks Run; A.C. Mongold, of Bridgewater; Ashby Mongold, of near Dovesville; David Mongold, of Luke, Md.; and one daughter, Mrs. Amanda Whetzel, of Cumberland, Md. She also leaves about forty grandchildren and twenty-five great-grandchildren.
Because of influenza in the community, only a short service was conducted at the home, and interment was in the cemetery at Oak Grove. Funeral services will be held later.
