Eben D. Wright of Sherman township, died March 25, 1929, in Saginaw, where he had gone two weeks before for medical help. Eben D. Wright, son of Silas and Louise Wright, was born Feb. 8, 1869 in Hope township, Midland county and was 60 years, 1 month and 17 days old. His father having died, he moved with his mother, four brothers and seven sisters to Gladwin about 1890. He was married to Miss Florence Pike, Dec. 31, 1893, who survives him with 11 children. One daughter died in infancy. His living children are Eber Wright of Gladwin, Mrs. George Snover and Mrs. Dewey Frye of Butman township, Mrs. Fred Ehle of Hamilton township; Walter Wright, Mrs. Fred Klemach and Mrs. Bartley Roe of Saginaw; Clarence, Francis, Doris and Amanda at home. He also leaves 16 grandchildren, five sisters and two brothers.
His health has been poor for three years, but his death came as a shock to the family, who expected he would get help. The body was brought to Gladwin Tuesday and taken to the home of his son, Eber Wright on Silver Leaf street. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Methodist Episcopal church at Gladwin, conducted by Rev. L. M. Whitney, followed by burial in Highland cemetery.
