Mart Gayhart, age 79, of Hazard, Ky., passed away on Saturday, February 2, 2008, at his residence in Lost Creek. He was the son of the late Sim and Tishie Hughes. He is survived by his wife Alice Gayhart, two daughters- Kathy Gayhart Smith of Georgia, Alice E. Gayhart of Lost Creek, Ky., two sons- David Eugene Gayhart of Lost Creek, Ky., Edward Gayhart of Lost Creek, one brother- Jr Gayhart of Second Creek, Ky., a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren. Arrangements were handled by Maggard Brothers Funeral Home, 432 East Main Street, Hazard, Ky. Funeral services were held at Lost Creek Pentecostal Church of Lord Jesus Christ, Wednesday, February 6, 2008 with Rev. Charles Miller, Rev. Ed Baker and Rev. Noble officiating. Interment took place at Mart Gayhart Cemetery in Lost Creek, Ky.
