OBITUARY FROM THE MTN. VIEW NEWS:

Jessie Maxine Marshall was born July 5, 1917 in the Lake Valley community of Washita County, to Mary Coalson Evans and Banner Evans. She passed away on Friday, March 21, 2008 at the Carnegie Nursing Home.

She was married to E.L. "Bud" Marshall October 21, 1933. They worked and lived in the Cloud Chief, Lake Valley, Cordell and Gotebo areas.

Maxine enjoyed cooking, sewing and teaching her Sunday School class. Maxine owned and operated the Dinky Diner in Gotebo. She also worked at LJ's Grocery in Gotebo and at the Robertson Factory in Cordell.

Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, two sons, Rick and Jack, one great-great granddaughter, four sisters and three brothers.

Survivors include her daughters, Joy Barbee, Mary Frank and husband Ronald Lee, Betty Sue Terry and Shirley Deatherage, a sister Mary Clifton and husband Lee, 18 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.
