Joe Lytle was a newspaper publisher in Sundance, WY. He purchased the Crook County Monitor in December of 1895 and was the publisher and editor. He was later the city editor for the Sheridan Journal in Sheridan, WY.
In March of 1905 he was one of the sixty-two cowboys in Captain Seth Bullock's Cowboy Brigade that went to Washington DC to ride their horses in the inaugural parade to honor President Teddy Roosevelt.
He wrote several articles on the Cowboy Brigade that are available to be viewed thru the Wyoming Newspaper Project.
His last paper was in Scio, OR.
