Kenneth P. SEABOLD, 89, of 506 S. Clay St., Sturgis, died Wednesday, Jan. 20, 1999, at Thurston Woods Village, Sturgis. He was born April 17, 1909 in Stroh, Ind., a son of Bernard and Bertha (MISNER) SEABOLD. Kenneth lived in the Sturgis and LaGrange, Ind., area all of his life. On July 11, 1931, he married Dorothy KREIDER in Elkhart, Ind. After 43 years of employment, he retired from Formed Tubes in Sturgis. Kenneth was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church of Sturgis, where he was a deacon and usher. A graduate of Sturgis High School Class of 1927, he was a member of the Organ Society and the Sturgis Hospital Popcorn and Magazine Guilds. He enjoyed bowling, golf, woodworking, playing cards and outdoor activities. Surviving him are his wife, Dorothy SEABOLD; 1 sister, Opal SCHWORM, of Sturgis; 5 nieces, Patricia MOSHER and Janet DeYOUNG, both of Kalamazoo, Susan POFFENBERGER and Diane CAPMAN, both of Sturgis, and Debra VAN OVERLOOP of Rockford, Mich.; 3 nephews, Frances "Bud" HORNING of Mendon, Ronald HORNING of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Norman HORNING of Sturgis; and several great nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents and 1 brother, Cecil SEABOLD. Friends and relatives may call after 2 p.m. Friday at the Hackman-Foglesong Funeral Home of Sturgis, where the family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral services celebrating the life of Kenneth P. SEABOLD will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday from the First Presbyterian Church of Sturgis. The Rev. Michael L. Dunkelberger will officiate. Interment will follow in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Sturgis. If desired, the family request memorial donations be made to the First Presbyterian Church. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
