My grandfather Doyle C "Possum" Hicks served as a sharpshooter in the U.S. Army in the Pacific arena during WWII. He married my grandmother Virginia Fay Hicks on Feb. 15, 1947. They built their home on our farm in Gleason, TN. My mother Nancy was their only child. Doyle C Hicks was the second child of Claude Hicks and Willie Beatrice Dunlap, both of Gleason.
