Anna Faye Langston, age 74, of Green Forest, passed away Monday, Jan. 4 (2010) at Harrison.

She was born Jan. 12, 1935, at Fair Oaks, to the late Guy Ferguson and Charlotte "Wendell" Ferguson. Anna graduated high school in Clarendon, in 1951. She was united in marriage on Dec. 31, 1956, to J.R. Langston. They made their home in Pine Bluff for 20 years before moving to Carroll County where they owned and operated J.R.'s One Stop in Hugh. Anna was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, and in her spare time, she enjoyed gardening and collecting antiques.

She is survived by her husband, J.R. Langston of the home; daughters, Leisa Wheeler and husband, Tommy of Vendor and Terri Harness of Green Forest; one son, Steve Langston of Green Forest; two sisters, Ruby Harris of Rowlett, Texas, Toddie Dean and husband, Fred of Arkadelphia; and six grandchildren.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Ima Jaggars.

Celebration of Life service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 9, at Smith Family Funeral Home in Green Forest. Online condolences may be left at smithfamilyfuneralhome.net.
