Darlene "Dee", age 72, of Fort Atkinson, passed away on Saturday, at her home on Lake Koshkonong.
Dee was born the daughter of George Edward & Ida Marie (Euler) Deuel, Sr. On March 15, 1958, Dee was united in marriage with Hollies Flusch in Laramie, WY.
Hollies preceded her in death on Sept. 22, 1998. Dee has resided in Fort Atkinson since 1998, but had been coming to Lake Koshkonong since 1986. She loved living the lake life, and watching the birds, wildlife and activities on the lake.
Dee had worked as a bookkeeper and office manager from 1955 until her retirement in 1996. Dee was a member of the Gathering Place Senior Center in Milton and a member of the Blue Notes Chorus.
She also was a member of Shalom Presbyterian Church in Fort Atkinson where she served as church treasurer and served on several church committees. She enjoyed playing Bunco and Dominoes with friends. Surviving are a daughter, two sons, two granddaughters, Jaice Flusch of Sycamore, IL, two sisters, a brother, a niece, and her animals, Cody and Cassie.
Dee also was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Evelyn Anderson and Dolores Dugan; and one brother, George E. Deuel, Jr.
Funeral services were held on Thursday at the Nitardy Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Atkinson with the Rev. Terese Leonhard officiating.
