Horace Hayes, 57, life long resident of Georgetown, died suddenly at his home Wednesday morning of a heart attack. Until the last few months, during which time he had been employed by the Anaconda Copper company at Conda, he engaged in farming.

He was born in Georgetown on April 13,
1888.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Naomi Haddock Hayes; three sons, LeRoy Hayes and Loran Hayes, both of Georgetown; Rex Hayes of the United States Navy, Pacific Theater; five daughters, Ramon and Janice Hayes of Georgetown; Mrs. Milford (Ann) Barkdull and Mrs. James Smith of Georgetown; Mrs. Lloyd Hansen of Paris; seven sisters, Mrs. William Hoff of Georgetown; Mrs. Zina Armatage of Montpelier; Mrs. Lot Payne of Georgetown; Mrs. Louis Weber of Weiser; Mrs. Wilford King of Georgetown; Mrs. Hattie Erb and Mrs. Fred Smart of Soda Springs; four brothers, Thomas Hayes of Soda Springs; Wilford, Alma H. and John R. Hayes, all of Georgetown, and 10 grandchildren.

Alice Roberts Hayes, his first wife, preceded him in death on April 4, 1920. A son, Joseph, died November 29, 1929.
