John Tice married Sabrina Hayner Tice on 25 Nov 1835, in Try, NY. Both were natives of Rensselaer county, NY.
John Tice was a pioneer resident of Ann Arbor. He was a carpenter by trade and built many of the fine residences of the city. He was identified with building operations in Ann Arbor until the time of his death, which occurred in February, 1892. His wife also died in Ann Arbor, October 27, 1891. Two of their sons, Abraham and John E. Tice, and a daughter, Frances A. Tice Benham, were also residents of Ann Arbor.
