F.W. "Bill" Huenefeldt, 76, of Clinton, MO (formerly of Hickman Mills, MO), passed away on February 5, 2002. Born and raised in Henry County, MO, Bill served his country proudly during WWII as a radioman for the U.S. Navy in the Pacific. After the war, he married Genieve May Hoppe in 1949. They raised two sons, Paul and Tom. Bill was a wellknown farmer and stockman in Henry County. He took particular pride in his farm and in lending a hand to anyone in the community. He was a steward in many capacities for the Clinton United Methodist Church for over 50 years. He also served as Scoutmaster of Troop 430 in Clinton for six years, and was also a member of the Tribe of Mic-O-Say, Tall Rustling Corn. Bill will be missed in the community for his compassion and unassuming behavior towards helping all folks. Likewise, Dad will always be loved and missed by his family. He was always "doing the best." He is survived by his wife, Genieve of the home, son, Paul (Ana) of Seattle, son, Tom (Patricia) of Milwaukee. Also his sister, Faye, and brother, David (Alice), and nephews, Jim and Sam. There are also three stepgrandchildren, Rob, Kelly and Corrie of Seattle. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, February 8, 2002, at Clinton United Methodist Church, where family will receive friends one hour before the service; burial in Englewood Cemetery. The family wishes that memorial contributions be made in Bill's name to the Boy Scouts of America Troop 430 Scout Memorial Fund in Clinton, MO, c/o the funeral home.
