ESTABLISHED IN 1894.

IN A DEED OF GIFT DATED AND RECEIVED 2 MAY 1809 IN FRANKLIN County, DEED BOOK
RRR, P. 114, MARBIL STONE NAMES HIS CHILDREN JOHN, R., WALTER, JOSHUA, &
WASHINGTON STONE AND DAUGHTER Frances JACSON PITMAN.

MRS. Frances J. PITTMAN, WIDOW OF ICHABOD, DIED AT THE HOME OF HER SON
JOSEPH IN PAULDING County, GA. SOURCE: "SOUTHERN CHRISTIAN ADVOCATE," FEB 19,
1857 ISSUE. THE NOTICE READS, "MRS. Frances J. PITTMAN, WAS BORN IN
FLUVANNA County , Virginia, JAN. 6TH, 1783, CAME TO GEORGIA WHEN YOUNG, WAS MARRIED
TO ICHABOD PITMAN, OF COLUMBIA County , OCT. 13TH, 1807, MOVED TO GWINNETT
CO., ABOUT 1822, WHERE SHE LOST HER HUSBAND, AUG 23RD, 1827, AND DIED IN
PAULDING County , JAN 28TH, 1857, AT THE HOUSE OF HER SON, JOSEPH
PITTMAN...JOINED THE BAPTIST CHURCH WHILE ON A VISIT TO HER FRIENDS IN
CLARKE County ; UNTIL SHE MOVED TO GWINNETT County , WHEN SHE JOINED THE M.E.
