MRS. ELIZABETH WRIGHT EXPIRES Funeral Services and Burial To Occur In Putnam County Wednesday
Mrs. Elizabeth A. Wright, widow of James M. Wright, passed away this forenoon at 9:15 o'clock at the home of her son, Grover Wright, 912 14th street, of complications due to old age. She had been in failing health for the past five months.
Elizabeth A. Sherrill was born in Putnam county, Indiana, on February 17, 1841, to George W. and Nancy C. Sherrill and at the time of her death she was 90 years and 28 days old. In 1866 in Putnam county she was married to James M. Wright, who passed away several years ago.
The deceased was a member of the Providence Baptist Church of Putnam county. Mr. Wright was a Civil war veteran.
She is survived by her son, Grover Wright; one daughter, Mrs. John Foster, of Indianapolis; one sister, Mrs. Samaria Miller, of Cloverdale, Ind., five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Following death the remains were removed to the Day & Carter funeral home and prepared for burial and later were returned to the home of her son where they will lie in state until Wednesday morning when they will leave over Monon railroad on train No. 6 for Putnam county.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday afternoon at two o'clock from the Providence Baptist Church with the pastor of that church in charge of the services. Burial will be made in the adjoining cemetery. (clipping from an unidentified newspaper)
