Regina Oelze, 82, of Hardinsburg died Sunday, July 5, 1998, at Breckinridge Memorial Hospital in Hardinsburg. She was born in Breckinridge County and was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Romuald Catholic Church in Hardinsburg and Blue Army of Our Lady of Fatima. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cletus Oelze on February 10, 1991; a son, Sherman Oelze on June 24, 1984; and a daughter, Shirley Oelze on September 9, 1990. Survivors include 5 sons, Paul Oelze of Charlestown, IN, and Danny Oelze, John Oelze, Joe Oelze and David Oelze, all of Hardinsburg; 6 daughters, Minnie Nimmo, Mary Vessels, Jamesetta Whitfill and Dorothy Huffines, all of Hardinsburg, Peggy Hazlewood of Falls of Rough, and Lettie VonAllman of Lanesville, IN; 50 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Maurice Wethington of Hawesville. Services are at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Romuald Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Romuald Cemetery. Visitation is from 3-9 p.m. today at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home in Hardinsburg. Prayers will be said at 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
