William Wabs, 78, long time resident of northern Holt County, died at his home Saturday afternoon, May 20th at 5 pm after an illness of one month.
Funeral services were held at graveside Monday afternoon at the Phoenix Cemetery at 2 pm with Remi Dunon officiating.
William Wabs was born at Hamburg, Germany on Dec 25,1871 and died May 20,1950 at the age of 78 years, 4 months and 25 days.
He came to Holt County in the year 1882 with his parents, the late Mr and Mrs Jochim Wabs from Iowa. He was united in marriage to Helen E McMillan at Yankton, SD on June 16,1929. To them were born 7 children, 5 sons and 2 daughters.
He is survived by his wife and the following children: Carl, Marvin, Edwin, Mae R., Rudolph F, and Adalene Wabs all of Spencer, and Clyde A Wabs of Chadron.
