Former Central Resident Dies
John W. Johnson, 82, Oklahoma City, a former resident of the Central High community, died in Oklahoma City on June 14.
Services were held in the Hunter Funeral Home, conducted by Rev. Emmett Boydstun and Rev. Gene Martin.
Born near Davis, Oklahoma on January 9, 1882, Johnson moived to the Central High community in 1905 and resided there until 1951 when he moved to Newcastle and lived there until 1962.
Survivors include his wife, Ella, of the home; two daughters, Wilma Rankin, El Segundo, California, and Johnie Mae Blythe, Oklahoma City; one son, J.D. of Oklahoma City; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
Burial will be in the Resthaven Cemetery in Oklahoma City.
