Funeral services for Mrs. May Weigel , who died at her home in Augusta on October 15th, were conducted at the First Assembly of God Church on Thursday October 19th at 2:00p.m. with Pastor Clifford Nichols officiating. Interment was in West Lawn Cemetery. May Booher, daughter of Leander and Eliza Ann Bass Booher, was born December 5, 1875 in Sidney, Iowa. She was united in marriage to George Weigel at Sloan, Iowa May 7, 1894. They resided in Sloan until 1929 when they moved to the Town of Wilson, where they farmed. In 1942 they moved to Augusta. Mr Weigel died in 1945.
Mrs. Weigel and daughter Mabel have been making their home a 560 Pease St. in Augusta for the past few years. She had been in failing health for some time, and she died at 6:00p.m. on Sunday October 15th at the age of 96 years, 10 months and 10 days.
