per 27 Sept. 1873 Indiana Weekly Messenger: The will of the late Francis C. Winebark of Canoe tp. was admitted to probate September 23. Testator devises his farm, containing 115 acres together with all his personal property to his son Martin C. , who is to pay his other heirs, four in number, the sum of $100 each, having made his decease, provision for them out of his estate. Martin C. was named as executor. The will is dated Jan. 3, 1892 and was witnessed by Adam Henry and L.M. Lewis
History of Indiana County:
FRANCIS WINEBARG (Winebach) was born in 1807, in the canton of Berne, Switzerland, and was a son of Francis and Fannie Winebuag nee Sauger. In 1818, the family removed to Berks county, in 1823, to the "Blockhouse" settlement, Lycoming county, in 1827, to North Sewickley township, Beaver county, and in 1840, near Smicksburg, West Mahoning township, Indiana county.
Father, Francis, Sr., died in 1850, at the age
of eighty-seven, and his wife in 1849, over seventy years of age.
Francis, jr., located on his present farm in 1852, having resided in Jefferson county for three years. Our subject was married in 1831, to Lena Hartoon, of Beaver county, who was a native of Germany. Their children were: Margaret, m. to Hartman
Beam; Catharine, m. to Abraham Stiver; John, m. to Sophia Homan; William, m. to Sarah Bradenbaugh; Martin, m. to Adaline Copock; and Caroline, m. to Fulbert Alderbrand. John and Martin were members of company C, 206th Pennsylvania volunteers about one year. The children of Martin, a son of our subject,
were: Mary Eveline, George, Joseph, Elizabeth, and Jennie. The children of John, a son of our subject, were: Margaret, Sarah Catharine, William Francis, George, Anna, Aaron, Irvin, and Henry.
7 January 1818 Brig Rebecca Ann lists passengers: Francis Wynburg, wife and 3 unnamed children arrived in Philadelphia port from Amsterdam, Holland
Also named was Samule Wyburg, wife and 6 children.
