Jonas (Alfred) was the son of Karl J. and Louisa Berglund.
He and his 3 sisters and brother were born in Sweden. His family immigrated to America. Alfred married Alfreda (Freda) Elizabeth Gustafson, 29 JAN 1903.

They moved to Iowa and farmed land in the in the Lost Grove township area of Webster County, and had three daughters,
Clara Ethel Rosaline Berglund, Edna Louise Berglund, Dorothy Alice Alfreda Berglund, and a son, Carl Philmore Berglund.

RITES THURSDAY AT LANYON
FOR ALFRED BERGLUND

Funeral services for Alfred Berglund, 86, of Lanyon will be held Thursday afternoon at 1:30 at the home of his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Clemens Anderson, in Harcourt, and at 2 o'clock at the Lanyon Covenant Church. The Rev. E. B. Dahlstrom, pastor of the church, will officiate.
Burial will be in Lost Grove cemetery.
Mr. Berglund, who died early Tuesday morning at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Dodge, had been a medical patient there for about nine days.
He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Clemens Anderson and Mrs. Arthur Anderson of Harcourt, Mrs. Virgil Kullberg of Boxholm and Phil Berglund of Gowrie. A brother, Ed Berglund, and a sister, Mrs. Emily Johnson, both of Lanyon, also survive.
